Cuyler Goodwin, DO, MPH: Dr. Goodwin is a psychiatrist and the Medical Director at Sequoia Mind Health. He was born in Santa Rosa and attended undergraduate, medical school and residency training in the Bay Area, ultimately graduating from the UCSF Psychiatry Residency Training Program in 2016, one of the top 3 most competitive psychiatry programs in the United States.  He takes a conservative approach to medications--only prescribing and changing medications when necessary--and has an interest in alternative medicine strategies and cutting edge investigational approaches.  Dr. Goodwin maintains hospital privileges at John George Hospital, where he precepts UCSF NP students.

Chau Le, PMHNP

Chau Le, PMHNP: Chau is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who completed her NP training at UCSF.  Bio coming soon!

Heather Goodwin, RN, BSN

Heather Goodwin, RN, BSN: Heather fills two roles at Sequoia Mind Health—Nurse Navigator and assisting in IV ketamine infusions.  As the Nurse Navigator, she provides a brief complementary phone consultation to answer questions about ketamine and dTMS, as well as screen for contraindicated medical conditions.  She also starts IVs for intravenous ketamine infusions and assists in these treatments.  Prior to working at Sequoia Mind Health, Heather worked on the medical-surgical floor at St Helena Hospital for 10 years.  She completed her bachelor of science in nursing at Dominican University.

Pamela Albro, PhD

Pamela Albro, PhD: Dr. Albro is a Clinical Psychologist at Sequoia Mind Health.  She received her MA in counseling psychology and her PhD in clinical psychology--both with emphases in depth psychology--from Pacifica Graduate Institute.  As a clinical and depth psychologist, her work is grounded in the psychoanalytic tradition, integrating both post-Jungian and object relations orientations.

Erika Cole, MFTi

Erika Cole, MFTi: Erika is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (LMFTi) with a special interest in Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Trauma Informed care.  Erika believes in the power of relationship and works intuitively with each client.  Erika received her undergraduate degree from Sonoma State University, a Masters in Education, and her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco.  Although Erika is currently an intern, she has had over seven years experience working with populations of youth and families that experience complex traumas.

Meredith Meyer, LMFT

Meredith Meyer, LMFT: Meredith is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  Meredith received her undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco and her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego.  Meredith received her training as both a skills trainer and an individual DBT therapist while working on an adherent, comprehensive DBT team at the DBT Center of San Diego, for five years.  Meredith has also completed intensive and adjunct trainings through Behavioral Tech, refining her expertise in DBT and the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).  In addition to DBT, Meredith is trained in Exposure Therapy including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Jay Callender, LAc

Jay Callender, LAc: Jay Callender has studied Asian culture, martial arts systems, and healing practices since the 1970’s.  His focus is on pain management, orthopedic treatments and health conditions associated with internal disorders that may be comorbid with psychiatric conditions focusing on the use of acupuncture, cupping, therapeutic massage, Chinese Herbology and Acugraph® Digital Meridian™ Imaging.  Originally from Newark, NJ, Jay lived and was educated in many countries and graduated from Brockport State University in NY, where his interest in the Asian culture began.  After moving to Santa Rosa, Jay focused on Asian therapeutic bodywork and in 2004 earned a master’s degree at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.  A respected teacher, lecturer, and clinical practitioner Jay is licensed by the State of California and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  He’s a lifetime student continuing to train and study in all areas of his life.  He also holds advanced degrees in multiple martial art systems and instructs adult and children’s programs.

Rob Rogers

Rob Rogers: Join us Tuesday evenings for Meditation Techniques for Everyday Life. Rob is a certified Yoga Teacher and Vedic Astrologer. He is also the co-founder of Arpanam Yoga where he translates sanskrit and teaches yoga, meditation, and Hindu philosophy. He began his yoga journey in 2008 under the guidance of his Gurus Swami Satyananda Saraswati and Shree Maa of the Devi Mandir.

These classes are designed to empower the participants with practical methods derived from the eight-fold path of yoga. The classes explore breathing techniques that calm the mind and raise awareness within the body using a variety of meditations focusing on the transformation of stimulus/response habits and ultimately cultivating inner peace. Some classes will include a guided meditation that demonstrates a technique, other classes will be open for participants to ask questions and find solutions to issues that tend to come up throughout the day.

Cynthia Melody, MNA

Cynthia Melody, MNA: Cynthia is the Practice Manager for Sequoia Mind Health, and Dr. Goodwin's mother.  She has much experience working in organized medicine and legislative advocacy, having served as Executive Director of the Sonoma County Medical Association for 15 years.  Cynthia has a master's degree in non-profit administration.
